Ipod Mounts
Anybody have an Ipod mounted one way or another?
Right now mine is just laying on the armrest...The new style radios have an AUX socket, so you can plug an Ipod or other right into the faceplate, so I dont need to spend $$$ on an interface kit
I'll figure out how to hide the wires later, I'd like to see some pics of mounts if you have them

I'm using an I-CarPlay from Monster. It is a charger and FM transmitter so you can tune the radio to a station and listen to the Ipod.
Anyway, I plug it into the cig lighter on the dash and have a soft case for the iPod that has an elastic cinch cord on the top. I hook this cord over the top of the cig lighter charger and it puts the iPod in a nice place to use. No movement, keeps the cord in place, etc.

Old thread bumped up
I got tired of this Ipod sliding all over the cab, and I couldnt find anything I liked pre-made...So I decided to take care of it....Went to ace hardware and bought a length of steel 1/8" x 1-1/2"...A little cutting, grinding and shaping, and I now having a sturdy mount for my Ipod, putting it right at my fingertips...Velcro secures the Ipod to the bracket...
Pretty easy to do with a bench vise and a few hand tools....If I did it again, I would make it about an inch longer, and different paint
I also purchased a 24"x24" sheet of diamondplate, and fashioned myself 4 sill plate guards and an intercooler guard
Saved quite a few $$$, especially on the aluminum stuff
