With your list of mods I doubt there would be much if any benefit to a upgraded intercooler. Some of the best ones out there are HTT, ATS, or Banks. Hellman performance makes a nice unit as well. The Banks Techni-cooler is upgraded to 4" piping as well, which is always a nice benefit. I would think the 1k+ you would spend on an aftermarket intercooler could be put elsewhere with better power gains. If you tow heavy and often then the intercooler could be justified with less heat soak and cooler EGT's.

Turbo. I know a lot of guys say it here but I think besides the Smarty my turbo made the biggest bang performance wise. You really dont know how much it will unlock until you add it but like I said it was enormous gains from 2500-up. Plus I can run the 1/4 and never exceed 1300*

Not hijacking but my truck with 4.11 on lvl 9 hasn't gone over 1100* up to 90 mph with my spearco intercooler and stock turbo. Is this normal, what is the normal temp for EGT.

Running what you have, thats about right. Try the TNT with all the pressure added and see how toasty she gets. Normal temps range from yours all the way to 1600 in the 1/4.

Turbos (twins!) then more fuel....Lots more fuel!

The 2007 has a pretty good intercooler.

I didn't mess with it until I crossed the 800hp mark.

Thanks, I'm waiting for my Fass pump to come in. I was going to install it and my turbo at the same time then run the tnt software. I want to stay in the "safe" zone.

my intercooler worked for me pretty good, about a hundred deg, at times, but not across the board. last night i hit just under 1600 for the first time, across the quarter mile line. that was level 5 smarty TNT. next week im getting a stage 2 snow performance water/meth kit. ive been told that willreally help, probally just use water at first.

With your level of mods I would agree 100%. Hes running a Smarty with the stock turbo. When I blew out my intercooler I made a strait pipe that bypassed it for a week or so. I really did not notice a huge increase in EGT's. I did have TNT #1 though. On a few closed course passes up to 100MPH with TNT and MP-8 100% it would peak 1300* without water, around 1050* with water. A bigger intercooler with a stock turbo will also spool a little slower. You have added volume that needs pressurized and it takes some added time to do it.
