http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/intercooler.html This is a good article on intercoolers and what they are and what they do. Might help some like me to better understand the importance of intercoolers. I just wish they were not so expensive$

The stocker and most aftermarket IC use inside fins (turbulators) the Banks Techni-cooler dose not,I have a sensor mounted before the inlet side it generally reads 100 to 250 depending on ambient temp, the Bank IC is always when traveling close to ambient, I have notice that the IC with the Turbulators (stocker) lower the temp when not moving. The banks IC differently lowers cruising temps (EGTs) much better than the stocker did,This leads me to believe that the Turbulator IC are restrictive on volume,The Turbulator IC would be Much better IC for stationary engines(Irrigation, Generators,Etc) it cost money to turn fans.Depending on Turbo setup fueling Etc the IC without the Turbulators has the advantage,May GBE did their home work on this one and design a IC that is efficient without the inside Turbulators.
