Geez, too many threads on too many boards, I can hardly keep up! Yup, got two new RPM pickups and cables--AND a big yellow chain to keep customers away from the dyno electronics...

So next week the Glacier horn is being dyno-tested? Will it be the same truck they did the ATS, AFE, and CFM?

Thanx.

Erik, I know it took awhile to set up my truck, but did I kill your sensor too? I sure had a great day at your shop and I want to thank you for all the runs with the 'delete' in/out, pred in/out, etc.

I've waited quite awhile to post gut feel on my truck after the 'delete' install cause I wanted to have some figures with me. I finished the tank I was on when it was dyno'd and refilled. Today I refilled again after 695 miles, not wanting to risk trying to stretch it to my favorite fuel station which would have brought it to about 730 miles or so.

The overhead before I met you usually runs 24-26 MPG but was up to 28.6 on this tank. EVERYONE knows overhead don't mean much, cause when I get 24-26 overhead, I usually get 18-19 MPG hand calculated. So, with the 28.6 overhead this time, I got 19.168MPG. With the type of driving I do, the best I've gotten was 19.07 and 19.09. So, this was just one tank, but I did try to stay around 71MPH or so when I could, as opposed to the around 65MPH when I had my other highs.

Exhaust temps? I didn't pull anything so freeway runs were still around 600* and there wasn't much of a change that I would notice.

Boost? If there was any change at all, I think I was running ~2# less boost at 70-71MPH. Kinda tells me there was enough extra HP to the wheels such that it didn't need any extra boost, but what do I know, I'm not an expert.

I'm interested in what the readings will be if I did the limit (65) like I did when I got those other 19MPG readings. I'm interested enough to try it for the next ~700 miles (2 weeks). I also think I'll be picking up a CFM with my tax return, if I can get to it before my First Wife and the Peppermill.
Now, back to my adult beverage . . .
Oh, I'll be at A&M w/o the truck the 17-21st of February, lookin to see some great CTDs and lookin for great TX steak. Any suggestions?

Hahah, nope, another guy knocked it over and it smashed. No biggie!

Really cool to see that you are getting a little extra mileage. I cant say that I expected that, but it is certainly a plus. Please keep us informed of your longer cruise test!

Hey jlibert, are you testing it against the stock horn with a before & after run? I am looking forward to your results.

Thanx.

I have the glacier manifold installed right now, so we'll make a couple pulls on the dyno and see what it does. Then we'll pull of the GDP and install the stock horn for a comparison. Doesn't really help me, but hopefully it'll help some of you make a decision on what manifold to buy. Erik at Tri Valley Performance is a dealer for GDP, CFM, and ATS. He wants to insure that the products he sells actually do increase performance.

Totally cool. Thanx. I have an AFE in the box, but I was thinking of e-baying it and getting a CFM. Then I read about CFM's exploding. Now I can't make up my mind. I am still waiting on a grid delete block, so what is a few more days. I can't wait to read on the GDP, thanx for sharing.

So, I fueled up yesterday with 710.2 miles behind me and took 37.076 gallons for $126.76 ($3.419/gal). When on the freeway, I couldn't hold it to 65 and did 68-72 most of the time. Not much difference in MPG between this and the previous tank. 19.155 MPG

Overhead for the above was about the same as before, 28.6. Now, I have almost 200 miles on the tank, mostly at 75-80 MPH and the overhead is 26.2.
