Instuctions for removing injectors
Could some one PLEASE give me link to the instuctions on TDR or any good set? I am tryin to figure out if I can do this or not. My truck only has 15k on it so I am a bit nervous about rippin that deep into it.
Also does anybody know how hard it is to change the nozzles once the injectors are out?
So bottom line, with some instructions, should I do this myself now or waite a year once I got a grand or 2 and pay full price for the injectors and let somebody else do it?

I saw the injectors out on the bench. It looks like the nozzles just slip on but I might be wrong.I didnt see them get pulled but it sure didnt take em long. I was out the door by noon & that included 2 dyno runs.

keeping a dirt free work area is a must,and make sure you have all proper tq specs,i wnt by the specs and still bent a fuel connector tube,i wouldnt do the job again i will pay some one to do it next time,just a big hassle for me but to each his own...

Make sure that if you install the nozzles yourself that you lube the needles inside the nozzle before you install them. I have seen it done without doing this, but sometimes they don't seat and can be drippy at idle. I am sure there are people that know a lot more about injectors than I do and this is just from personal experience.
Basically the nozzle is 2 parts. When you get them the center part in the top of the nozzle will come out. I always take them out and put some clean diesel on them and then slide them back in. Once they are in I rotate the needle around a few times. This is a quick and simple thing to do and it seems to make sure the needles seal.
Also make sure you get the coppers out with the injectors and put new coppers in. Leaving a copper in the bottom of the injecotr cup can be a really bad experience.

Can some one please post the instructions off of the TDR on how to remove injectors. I am not a member there so I can not read after a certain date. thanks judd

Awesome thanks for the link, also does anyone know where i can located these miller tools at?

Well i went to NAPA and they told me the numbers were miller and they cant get miller tools. what is the OTC number if you have it. thanks
