Installing isspro trans temp sending unit in oil filter ports?
I want to install my isspro transmission sending unit in my oil filter port to monitor oil temp instead of trans temp. My question is will the probe which is about 5/8" long interfere with oil flow in the oil filter housing? Any help is appreciated.

I think I'd take the filter off and see how big the passage is up there and then decide. Only the tip need to be a little ways into the stream. I doubt that your engine will ever know the difference, if it's only a 1/4" probe. I would only leave it in until I saw what I needed to see and then take it out. Craig

i don't think it would cause a problem at all, but if you really want to maximize oil flow, try a 1/8" npt extension piece... the one in the link i posted would leave your probe tip about 1/8" in the oil stream
