Installed XZT w commander few ?'s
Was going to have someone install the commander but when I got home I downed a couple Coke's and built up some ambition and hammered the commander install along with the XZT in about 2.5 hrs including the pyro drill and tap.
I was concerned after the install because I had a CEL light but I cycled the key four or five times and it went away? Any thoughts into what that may have been about?
After driving the truck I found it to DEFINITELY perform better, no question. I did notice when going through the records that the pyro hit 1444 deg and boost was at 39 PSI (is the commander boost readings accurate or is the boost fooler messing up the map sensor? ( the replay feature is awesome because it is so hard to watch all the gauges and drive at the same time.) This was towing nothing, just the truck itself after a couple of strong roll-ons. Do these numbers seem normal? I know that they are not out of control by any means but looking for some input. Also, what are some good suggestions for parameter settings?
One thing is for certain is that I have just been bitten and now I want more
(good thing I am patient and broke). I will run this XZT gen 1 box for a few miles to be sure that all works well before I send it in for the upgrade.
Sorry to be long but also thanks to Quad for answering questions and Stan for getting me the stuff as fast as possible.

My CEL came on and went away after a couple cycles as well. My thought was when I disconnected the coolant temp wires and turned on the key to check voltage as per the instructions maybe that triggered it. Your numbers sound resonable, I think.

I have set mine to cool at 1000* post turbo (in pac brake port) and 35psi of boost. I haven't had to mess with it since then, I baby my truck most of the time and have seen over 900* post turbo yet? I have seen around 35psi, but it isn't often. i did set it up to not activate until it is at 180* though. Only takes about 5 miles of driving, and makes sure I don't work it too hard until it is warmed up. Scotty

Your boost reading is correct, and will be as long as you have the wire tapped before the signal goes through the box. people run into problems when they tap for boost after the box, that is the "boost fooled" signal.

I am glad I installed the pyro in the manifold with the commander because I have Isspro analog's and the pyro for that post turbo is nearly 350 deg cooler than the pre turbo!! I am debating if I should remove the analog's or keep them in, there is quite a difference between the commander and the analog's.
Going to tackle the fuel/rail pressure kit install soon, maybe this weekend.
Thanks for the info.
