i just installed a b-1 last sat. i like it alot so far. the spool up is pretty quick , and comes on very fast. i bought the non wastegated turbo for higher boost. i am going to see how far the headgasket will go. i don't know much boost it is making my outlook tops out at 35. i am installing a 100 psi gauge tommorrow. my best to date pass at the track was 13.55 with stock turbo and stock injectors on all fuel. i am going to the track tommorrow night so i will know how much it helped. down low i seen an increase in egts of about 100*. the egts really start to drop around 2000 rpms and hardly ever gets above 1250 at wot. how long do you guys think my headgasket will go? when it does i guess i will stud it and firering it. has anyone had any good or bad experience with this turbo?

IF the stock studs are all evenly torqued to spec.....it is good for 55psi for quite a while. The stock head gasket is very strong.....the stock heads are not always the flatest and the torque on the bolts is not always equal. I'd check the torque first and then keep it under 55psi. I'm sure the turbo will be running very hot at 55psi. ks

I have the wastegated version of that turbo and love it! You might want to be careful going over 50 psi on that turbo if you want it to live.the spoolup gets even better after it has some miles on it.

thanks, i baby it around town and really only get on it when i need to.
as for the egts, does this seem right. 100* higher at lower rpms?
it starts to cool down after 2000 rpm. how much boost will it make ?
