Nice to hear people talking about the AFE's again. I was getting tired about hearing about the AEM all the time. Just can't wrap my brain around blowing the air filter out with compressed air!

Why?? whats wrong with compressed air
besides it being easier to clean then oiled filters??

I had K&N on mine before the AFE, but either way I think the MPG/HP/Turbo Whistle gained with either setup makes it one of the best investments to make on these trucks.

I miss my AFE StG 2 PG 7, but I know a fellow DTR member is happy with the new music.

Every time I look at the AFE's I say "Oooh nice" and "I think I should whip out the credit card" but then I see the price and I nearly !

After looking at them for a long long time, I just still don't understand how they can charge what they do for their product.... I'm not even considering them simply because they are too expensive in my opinion.

But of course if you got the cash... go for it, I know I would.

Flame suit is now on....

my afeII is teh shiznit, and i pulled the silencer ring out when installing the new intake. now with my 5" straight piped exhaust this truck sounds like a big rig... except a little louder when i give it some throttle. the intake sounds like a turbine engine

I love my AFE II! I left the silencer ring in place (have my 1st gen if I want LOUD turbo whistle) and it's still pretty loud. At first I didn't think it was really that loud, but the other day I was standing outside when it was driven on a rack and now I think differently. I couldn't believe how loud it was from outside!
