Injector nozzle install w/ vids.

Hey guys..

So I installed my nozzles this weekend along with my arp studs. After finally getting everything installed and the truck started. I idled the truck home (1/4 mile) and parked it.
It had a poping/loping sound to it and a ton of white smoke so I didnt want to damage anything. I am NOT driving the truck until this is fixed.

Here are two videos of what is going on.
First vid is right after install and start up.

2nd vid is after driving home (1/4 mile) and parking it. You can see the smoke is more.

Thanks.

You got an injector tip stuck open or something. Too much fuel on at least one hole for sure.

or the crossover is not seating into the injector. check your oil level and make sure its not making oil. pull the crossovers and check the tips that insert into the injector. if is gaulled up a bit, you can take VERY fine sandpaper and just clean the tips. its only like 37 ftlbs of torque to the crossovers. did you make sure all the copper crush washers were on the tips before installing? I use a dab of grease to hold the washer in place while installing injector.

yes i made sure the washer was on all injector when removing and reinstalling the injectors. I did like you and put a tiny bit of grease on the washer so it would not fall into the hole.

Im not quite sure what you mean by crossover. can you explain that a little more please.

the crossover tube is the part that the injector line screws into and has a nut holding it against the head into the injector

bingo! you got it. check the tips of the xover tubes that go into the injector.

first i would check all torque of the xover tubes before taking them out. if its loose, it will cause your issue

Well guys..

I fixed the leak today. Started the truck and everything looked good. No rattling or poping and a very small amount of white smoke. Turned the truck off, cleaned up shop, got in the truck and drove away. White smoke came back and poping.

I guess it is a stuck injector. I felt the exhaust manifold and i couldnt tell which ones were hotter or colder. Felt the fuel lines for different pulsing and i think #2 and #3 were a little different that the others. :idk:.

So let me here it guys.. how bad is it?

Are you gonna send the injectors back and get them checked and repaired?
