Increase Boost?
I have the Banks Six Gun, and it defuels at 22.5 psi of boost.
I guess I am gonna have to get rid of this thing, cause it pulls awesome till it defuels itself.
Anyone know a way around it's blocks and what knots? Know how I can get past the banks defuel?

Is it defueling for high EGT's ...doubt it, tranny slipping, doubt it, must be stock boost limit. You could try a TST or EDGE boost bolt to fool the boost sensor. I can get 40psi plus of my TST all day long. I have mine boost limited at 35psi now. Soon I will be 79psi all day long. ks

Just so I understand exactly what it is that the boost bolt does, fill me in.
Does it block the boost off so that the ecm/pcm (whichever) see's a boost reading of 0, while the mechanical gauge I have see's the correct reading?
I am not sure yet as to if it was high EGT's. I was sent the wrong thermocouple and lead wire for my DiPricol gauges. I have the older gauges, and when ordering the install hardware, I did not tell them it was the older gauge, so they sent me the optix series thermocouple and lead wire. No workie with old gague. (my fault, but i thought the optix series was pretty new. ***-u-me-ing)

The boost elbow is a little brass elbow that replaces the stock elbow on the boost air supply line to the wastegate actuator....the smaller orfice limits the amount of air the actuator sees so you can get more boost. It is available from most performance diesel shops. ks

79 psi. Holy Moly..........!!!! Like having compressed shop air at the exhaust tip. Should blow a plume for 25ft. My god. I think someone is serious about making power and has the $$ to do it right. You may actually be able to push the compact car off the road on the exhaust side
22.5 psi does not sound right. Does the Banks plug into the boost sensor? If so, check the order.

Supposedly the stock turbo can handle up to 40psi of boost. With the Quad standard it has the boost fooling. I hit around 39 psi. Did you check with Banks. The parameters are usually adjustable. Stock boost is 30psi on my 2004.5

Box was on the truck when I bought it. it dies every time at 22.5 psi. Like I mentioned before, I am prolly gonns sell it anyway, as it taps into wires, and I just don't like that. I want plug and play, not splice and pray.
