Go with a smarty. Diablo makes good power but their costumer service is horrible which makes it worthless.

i would not waste ur money on the puck. i would get the diablo and then if u need more power get the x2 from quad. creed run a 13.4 quarter with a stock truck. that is the combo i will be running when my x2 gets here on friday. the diablo is nice with its power but some have had problems with injectors. i have not but good luck with ur truck.

I'm looking into the Diablo Predator also...seems to be a good buy for a simple programmer. The problem I've heard with injectors seems to be with the 06-07 CTD. The research I've done I haven't seen to many issues with the 05 CTD like mine.

the puck does rail pressure which will give you a little better lower end grunt. i would suggest the edge juice with attitude that will give you a 100 hp chip and also has built in gauges. you don't really want to start bombing your truck with out gauges. you can stack the puck and the juice. the juice also gives you the option to upgrade to the hot version (180hp) down the road

Another thing to remember is that the Predator for the 06 does NOT perform as advertised, and the folks that made the thing don't seem to care. The forums over there used to be great for custom tunes etc, but not anymore. Its still good for power though.

Crazzy Larry here without TQ management and Dr. Performance pressure box. The crazzy larry was kinda laggy down low but the pressure box fixed all that. It's the only setup I've ever had but it's pretty intense.

Not to highjack or anything. With a downloader like the new smarty JR. what kind of torque does it put out? It seems to be designed for mileage and towing w/out major modifications. I wonder how it would compare with my standard box?????

Diablosport Predator did not run right on my truck, more importantly is I have been ignored with my problems by customer service. Spend the extra money and go with a company that backs their products!

ok fellas im looking at the smarty jr. what does everyone think? at the moment i cant find much info on it but i havent searched much so im gonna look more. i can get one for 450 on here. i just dont know if it can be ran by its self and can change tire height and stuff liek that but like i said im gonna search some more thanks guys

I'll be running one of the smarty jr files (the 100hp) the next few days. Look for a thread I'll start for first impressions tomorrow.
It can be ran by itself, it is designed to be a good stand alone daily driver unit that is safe on engine and tranny.
You will be able to change for tire height. Look at the mads website, the features are all posted now.

I really love the power and features + the price of my Diablo Predator. The only thing I don't like is that I get aliitle puff of white smoke on start ups, makes me feel a bit uneasy. It dosn't do it with my Edge or Quad though, kinda weird, but some MMO usually does the trick. I did have the puck (but way before my Predator) and it was all right, but save the money and skip the combo package. My Quad Race box with fuel only tune seems to really work well with the Predator. I'm gonna try some of the zero timing Predator tunes next and see how they work with my Juice!
