whats the point of excessive smoke? i hate it

 

That is why I asked the question why smoke. To me that is just leading to more emissions crap from the EPA.

Here is a diagram. You tap wires c and d and it tricks the box to think the truck is at full boost and therefore delivers max fuel for max smoke

Some of us live in densely populated areas with a lot of billboards that read 1-800-EXHAUST. I don't want to get a letter from the State of California telling me that I have to come in for an inspection!

I like having the OPTION of having a lot of smoke (I feel that there are times when there is a need for it), but it would be nice to haul down the road when needed without a lot of smoke and drama most of the time.

Yep, I walked a few guys through which wires to tap and they said it worked when they were done! I know it really makes my tst smokey!!! Just tap the two wires flip the switch and you should see the Attitude monitor go from 0-30+ psi. My tst goes to 42 psi

If you have the Edge map plug in your hand it will be labeled A, B, C, D. Use some t taps or some other means to tap into wires C and D. You will have two wires on from C and one from D. Run these wires into the cab and mount a switch with the wires connected to it. Then when you flip the switch you will be sending pin D 5 volts, this will make it think that the truck has full boost, so it will add fuel accordingly. I would suggest taping the wires together first, before running the wires into the cab and mounting a switch. Then turn the to key (dont start) and see what the monitor says. If it reads a high boost number you should be good to go. Also dont leave the switch on, its only for brief use. It may throw codes if you leave it on.

Some people just have there own opinions. Were all big people, so cant we all make our own decisions? These treads always turn into this. Why would you want to do that? Dont you know this, that and the other thing? Some like smoke, some dont, some like loud music, some dont. Thats why we all get to choose what we want! Its what makes us who we are. Sorry for the rant but this get old!!!!
