Good for you, loks like you are taking the right steps, By the way, I was not trying to put you down, you were the one that stated that you had limited mechanical aptitude/abilitiy. No hard freelingd, good luck!

I replaced the injectors no problem. I am very inclined when it comes to modular motors. But diesel is very new to me. I am sure I could have done it, but he knows a semi reputable machine shop..haha "semi reputable" thats funny because its a heavy duty machine shop.

I took the truck to mechanic and very $$$$$ 400.00 in labor to remove and replace head. 800.00 in labor for machine shop charges. plus all parts.. valves, bronze guides, springs, gaskets ect. I orderd a banks intercooler because they are on sale. 1150 shipped to my house for the cooler, high ram horn, and larger piping. I found a used 2006 turbo for 350.00. I just gotta figure out how to replace the electronic wastegate with the manual one off of my tubo.

Matt, leave the electronic solenoid disconnected that is on the face of the turbo and run a new boost line to the wastegate actuator. The wastegate will perform like the old one.
