I need tires
I have an 04 2500 Quad 8ft bed. I am going to need new tires soon and am having a hard time figuring out what to do. I don't want to spend a ton of money if I can help it. I tow a 3 ton boat. I do not like the Mich factory tires. Last year I got stuck in the wet grass with them BS. What do you think of the Cooper Discover S/T or the BFG T/A? What would u buy??

I had the coopers on my old F-250 and i really liked them, got a lot of miles out of them and never got stuck, they dont kick rocks up hardly as much as my factory tires either. I dont really have any experience with the BFG's though.

I just got Cooper Discoverer ATR and they seem to be pretty good. They handle wet pavement great, they are a little louder than the rugged trails they replaced, but should be well worth it. It had to put it in 4wd on more than 1 occassion in wet grass, and almost got stuck in a not very muddy field in 4wd. I haven't had them long, but I haven't heard anything bad and they handle great.

I really like my BFG all-terrains. whenever I am not towing, I run 35psi fronts and 32psi in the rears. when I want to tow anything, I air the rears up to 50psi. This combination seems to work really well and saves tread wear on stock rims especially.

i just put my 285/70/17 BFG AT's on about 6 weeks ago.
i love em, but i've always ran BFG's. i also air mine down until i need to tow.
i looked at the Coopers, but ultimitely went with BFG's - again just past history with them.
so far they have performed great - no problems here - i would recommend them to anyone.
