I Might Have the Quickest 2wd 3rd Gen!!!!
Well ladies and gentelmen. I just completed a full night of Test-N-Tune at Memphis Motorsports park. Came away with a new personal best 1/4mi. time of 12.66@109.4mph!!!!!!
Am I the only one attemting this witha 2wd??? I see on the best times list that all 3rd gens are 4wd. And 2wd alltogether are scarce.
Oh, and this is still running stock rubber @ a lowered 30psi.

I'm thinking about joining you there w/ a 2wd. I would still keep the 4x4 too though. i just can't make up my mind what I want to do. So tell us, how do you get it to hook up on a boosted launch???? Slicks?

I have ridden in SS's truck, and although it was raining that day, and I did not get to see what it would really do, it could break the tires loose at 60mph on the wet pavement...
I am willing to bet he is one of the fastest in a 2wd that is just a daily driver.

No, my sig is not lying. Still the reg. Juice box. Tested out both the BDPP and my new Diablo Predator and turned nearly identical times. 12.66 w/BDPP, 12.67 w/Diablo. And still with crappy 60ft times of 2.05-2.10sec. The BDPP would get out of the hole quicker, but loss some at the top end. All #2, no gas of any kind as stated before, stock rubber also.
All times were at 109mph as that was the speed limiter kicking in with about 100-150ft left of track. With a top speed eliminator times would prob be in the 12.5sec. range at 112mph or so.
Also, this was not just a 1 time occurance. I also posted a 12.67, 12.72, and the 1st break of the night into the 12's was at 12.84.
It was awsome being the center of atttention last nite at the track. There were a couple 8sec. cars there. And guess who everyone would start running to the launch pad area to see run? Everytime I would line up in the staging area, I had a flock of onlookers hovering around. I think they feel our corner of the peformance area is still like the gasser's, with everything being secret and stuff. Cause they seemed surprised when I motioned them over to let them look at what I had. Most walked away in amazement at the lack of flashiness under the hood.
