More like stupid enough, why spend all that $$$$ to be stuck in the 12's w/ a manual when you could runing 10's blindfolded w/ an auto. I'd hate to re-spool thoes big twins between every shift....
I though you were smarter then this
But hey its your $$$ and your dream.
At least it will look cool.

Big twins?
Gear change re-spool?
"smarter than this" ?
You don't know me, the company I work for or any of our projects to be qualified enough to make those kinds of statements...
Have to give ya credit for hitting one nail on the head, though - the XLRazor will be a double fistful of eye candy!

My 2500 weighs 6130 with me in it.. So that's 5900 pounds without me, yet it had 20 gallons of fuel, and a fiberglass topper.. Nothing removed except the hitch and spare tire.. That's not 5,000 pounds, but atleast it's similar to a standard cab dmax. haha. Just sell your parts, and buy a new truck with zero percent financing.. Then have fun.. haha..

If you want to get crazy...
Anyway, sounds like a cool project. I'd find a clean 6 cly SB RC to start with.
I sold about 6 months ago my 1500 for 12 grand.
Not a scratch or dent in the body, not a stain in the interior, 64K miles and new good brand tires.

Anyway, I was just describing a clean example and FWIW, my blue truck was super clean only a few scratches in the bed all hwy miles. I probably could have got a little more out of it but I really wanted my current truck and someone offered me cash...
Anyway with mine being an 04 Hemi, SLT, Sport, 5 speed auto, 3.92 gear, 20's etc... I got 12K for it, so I bet you can find a clean low mile 6 cyl ST for under 10 grand pretty easy... When mine was for sale there was a cool yellow ST low miles for I think less than 10K in the truck trader next to mine.
