I finally got a new turbo on the truck....
Went to the VADTR meet yesterday and got my HTB2 installed by Timinva otherwise known as "Mr Diesel". Anyways, it was a real pain because the bottom of the turbo was hitting the motormount and we couldn't get it mounted on the studs of the exhaust manifold. Finally he ended up taking the exhaust manifold half way off which gave just enough room to get it in there.
My results are as follows: . And this morning I am still .
Very quick spool and 42 psi with the boxes on the high settings (Sorry Tim, I couldn't wait till I got home.). I was a little worried on the way home because I couldn't get more that 32 psi and I was getting 30 with my stock turbo!! I finally remembered that I was only running the VA on level 1 and I didn't even have the Quad box on at all so no boost fooling.
Well, of course, with the good you have to take the bad. 03s defuel when shifting once you start making too much power so now I need a Race Anti-Defueler. I hammered it off the line once I made my exit and she just went bluahhhhhh until I let up. Awesome power though and like I said, Super quick spool...
Did I mention that I was happy????

Dodgezilla
Glad to hear you are enjoying your new turbo, I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago (PS62) and am also very impressed with the difference from the stocker. Unfortunately for me, now I have some Mach 4's on my wish list....
Good luck and enjoy your latest bomb.

She definitely makes more power but I didn't look in the rearview for smoke. It was pretty dark out when I got home. The quick spooling makes it take off like a rocket but as I said when it's time to shift to 2nd she just bogs down with the defueling. Hopefully we'll have another dyno day soon. Now I'm just waiting for tax money to finish up the trans and then
I'M DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That brings up a question. Why the heck doesn't this truck have an underhood light????

Hello
Glad to hear that everything worked out great.
There was a few times there that you had a very concerned look on your face.
I have to wait till the week end to install our new turbo in Leigh Ann's truck.
( but if the body shop gets done with the truck early maybe)
I looked at your pictures, it sure fills up the space nicely.
See Ya
Chris
