I backed up into another car and WRECKED it

I was backing up to pull out of a parallel parking space and somehow hit the car behind me.

My hitch destroyed the front of this car.

I fabricated this to stop that from being as issue. What do you all think?

Car versus QC? No contest no matter what you're going to do to the back. You hit it, it's screwed.

Get a $200 back up camero off of ebay - clips onto your factory mirror. I have one in my truck, works great since I can see the trailer hitch ball when hooking up a trailer.

Maybe you need a backup camera.

I agree that money on a backup camera is probably money better spent, especially if you tow

No offence my friend but I think your time would be better invested in learning how to back up WITHOUT hitting things.

Funny. I just had the opposite happen to me. Some car backed into the front of my truck, & left most of it's tail light lens on the ground in front of my Buckstop Bumper, & some was still stuck to the bumper even! They didn't even leave a note...
After all, they did scratch my powder coating up a little!

Looks cool, but I think with the torque and mass of the truck you will still do significant damage to a car if you hit it.

I agree that I also think that a back up camera is a better investment. I know there are plent of times when I back up & that if something small was there (civics, prius) I'm not going to see them behind my truck. I'm just lucky enough to live in an area where no one needs to parrellel park!

BTW nice work!

hmmm...I'll look into the backup camera. I have yet to bump into someone with this device on my truck so I'll have to send an update once that happens.

Why spend $200 for a backup camera when Peak makes one that sells for a lot less. I got mine at Sams' club for $59. They are gone from there now, but look around & i am sure you can get one for less than $100. Huge 7" screen & wide angle view. Works great on my 5th wheel trailer.

LOL This thread is great. I backed over my husband's favorite car wash bucket. It's the only thing I've ever backed into to date...(knock on wood).

I think we as drivers just need to be more observant. I mean, we see things in plain sight but it doesn't register until it's too late. The bucket I ran over? I walked right by it as I was getting into the truck. I knew it was there but it just didn't click. I was making a vid of my 4040xl and I was preoccupied. Being a motorcycle rider as well, we got to be better about not being part of the problem.

Quick Reply: I backed up into another car and WRECKED it
