hydraulic clutch pedal upgrade, need directions asap

Just had a friend put in my 3250 DD (great, totally quiet, grabs nicely). The engagement is close to the floor. I want to change it tonight (going on a trip either Wed night or Thur morn). I am going to change my oil right now. Can someone give me some tips for the hydro's? Where shall I mount the master cylinder?

Thanx.

Its not the best thing to do but I just zip tied mine up out of the way, as far as enguagement, just twist the rod that hooks to your clutch pedal. I am not sure wich way is wich but you can look as you twist it and figure it out.

If the rod is adjustable to the pedal, how does the M.C. not go back in the factory location? I talked to peter at sb today about my clutch issues, he told me not to worry yet with the upgrade hydros yet that it really isnt needed on the NVs. But i think mine does need it. I just dont understand the mounting of the M.C.

The factory hydro upgrade has a MC on the outside of the plastic piece that pops/locks into the firewall. The one I am installing has a rubber tube with an MC that has to be mounted with 2 bolts. Now that I think of it, I wonder if they went me the wrong hydro upgrade?

Their supp. diff. from a g56 to a nv5600. Maybe you got the wrong one? I just dont see if it hooks back to the pedal like the factory one how the resivior could be tied to a brake line or tied up out of the way, a picture would be worth a thousand words.

Sounds like you got the hydros for the NV because that is the way they are on with the resevoir mounting to the fire wall. Not sure how they are on the G56 Atleast that is the way it was when i changed mine out on the nv4500.

Well, it is installed and running. For now, I zip tied the MC to the AC lines that are tight there. Hopefully someone who did this on a G56 will chime in.

Thanx.

Congrats!! I am glad that 3250 worked out for you. I think I will get that one for sure. Where are you going to set your pedal at about half way?

Also have you put the hammer down and do a good non slipping smoky burnout!!

jmcart, what other questions do you still have, I didnt quite follow in the thread?

I tried using self tappers but I couldnt get them to start so as stated I just zip tied mine out of the way, I think to my fp isolator.

As far as where to set the pedal, set it where ever is good for you. I have mine kinda high so I can shift faster and thats just where I like mine. My clutch is kinda stiff so if I have to hold it in for a long time I can let some pressure off of it and still no be enguageing the clutch.

Mine is right at the top. I barely have to push the pedal in at all for it to disengage/engage. I like it that way and I think that is how it is supposed to be.
My reservoir is also tie-wrapped to the firewall. It works just fine there so I have no plans to move it....

Thanx for all the help/tips guys. This truly is a great site. I finished it all last night and had to rush inside back to my daddy of 3 role. I thought I hit "instant e-mail notification," but obviously I did not.

I like the adjustment now, maybe I will just keep it up there.

Keep any tips coming.
