HWY speed surging...help
i have this surging going on at cruising speed on the HWY. Its on and off, not a constant surge. If i give it some load for a sec it goes away, but as i continue cruising it comes back.
Any idea of whats going on?

My FCA was causing some of my surging. I hooked a rail pressure guage up so I could see what was going on. It would jump about 1K-2K while cruising. Also check your lift pump pressure. If the pump is going out, this could supply problems, in-turn leading to a surging problems.

Stock pump on the filter canister? Wow! You should buy a lottery ticket as you must be a lucky one... I bet you will notice a big difference in how the truck runs after putting the GDP setup on.

Mine was surging at cruising RPM too, and long story short she's at the dealer getting a new transmission. They told me the torque converter let go, but we'll see when I get it back if that was the case or not.
