I had a 4 inch MBRP 409 turbo exhuast installed about 2 years ago on my 2004,at first the drone was not to bad,I liked the sound.After a period of time (2years)the drone IMHO got louder,more so when towing my 20 ft.equipment trailer.I had the Flowmaster hush muffler installed last week,night & day difference now.I am very happy with the new muffler.coobie

 

Can you see through the muffler, or is it baffled? Does it have packing?

I haven't been able to find much info on this muffler setup.

I have one on my truck and you can see straight through it. It sounds nice out the back and sounds like a stocker inside the cab while driving or towing. I know people hear that it is a flow master and think it can not be good for a diesel, but they developed it for diesels and understand what we need and are looking for. I got mine from a person who builds racing engines for a living and have before and after dyno numbers for a stock truck if you are interested. He also has all kinds of flow equipment and would not have asked me to put this on my truck if it was not good.
