sounds to me like you got ahold of the first 15 pages of a diesel power magazine and believed everything these companies said!
however banks does make good products just overpriced for what you get i wouldnt mind trying one of their intakes thye look like a nice piece, but there is other alternatives. the main thing is as long as the thing makes you happy its alright just not a lot of guys on here go that route. when your talking about your egts's where is your probe located. before or after the turbo?
