My HTB2 makes 42psi of boost and by the time I reach that I'm already at 1500 degrees!!! I think you need more fuel. I'm getting my injectors done by Don M early next week. I let you know if it helps.....

Maybe you are draining the rail and dropping rail pressure so the fuel atomization is crappy? Also, with the higher TST settings = long injector open duration = high EGT. Perhaps try dropping the Te setting? I am finding that if I go above Te=2 on my truck, the EGT get hotter quicker and more black smoke, but the truck doesn't feel any more powerful.

i think i need more air. but maybe not. spits out a little cloud on the settings above, spools super quick to 40 psi then cleans right up. more fuel more heat right? i just have the standard tst program also. what settings feel the best with this turbo? i thought this turbo would be have a ton more lag than it does. spools great. if i didn't read the tag on the tturbo myself i would think this thing was a htbg or something? what am i missing folks?

My little 64/14 cools pretty good at 45 psi. I think more boost might help both you guys cool down.

Dodgezilla- new tranny, new boxes, new injectors,.... can't hide money If you need help spending those bills I'll take a set of m6's

is it difficult to adjust the wastegate setting on these turbos? shorten it to increase boost? 10 psi of boost should make some of the egt's go away right?

Just replace your brass boost fitting with a restrictive boost fitting.
That should increase it as much as you need (some times more).

Yesterday I hit 1400 in 5th at about 2700rpm at 53psi or so...

TST early twins on 6x4 and the Ramifier on 30%. Perhaps it's time to get the AFE stage II installed...

I think that turbo will make a good bit more boost than that before it is off its map. Drive pressures may not be 1:1, but I would think 50psi would do just fine and definitely help with the EGTs some.

Ditto on the TST settings. If you were to get on the dyno, with the EZ on 2 you might would find your max power a little lower than level 7. Maybe not though.

im pretty sure it said 6614384 or something to that effect. i would go outside but its raining pretty hard.........i'll check tomorrow. anybody else have thoughts on this situation. would 10 lbs more boost help bring down the egts much? i hope so. it's either try CTD neils manual boost controller or HTT offers a "HTBCF" boost control fitting. they say " this should provide an additional 10 lbs boost with little hassle." anybody heard of this? what is this fancy little thing? thanks folks

Call HTT and see how much boost that turbo can push without overheating. My turbo is at peak effeciency at 32 lbs of boost, so 45 is still good considering II tells me it can push 60-70 lbs (I forget). Yours is bigger than mine so I'm assumming it is still effeceint at higher levels of boost than the 40 lbs you're running.

I think the fitting HTT sells is a boost elbow like what came installed in my phatshaft =P I can't tell you the difference between the elbow and MBC, but both allow more boost.

Mine turbo did the same and turned out the waste gate was staying open slightly all of the time. I'd still hit 40-45 psi but took an act of god to get it there. R&R'd turbo, adjusted actuator rod and everything cooled down considerably.
