thinking about an 06 cummins auto. how much power will the stock internals handle reliably? I know the tranny has to be built. I want to have a quad cab deep into the 11s in the 1/4 mile. what will it take to get there? I have an 05 duramax/allison that can run low 13s on tuning only and low 12s with nitrous. I am at the point now where I am either going to add bigger sticks and ats 5k turbo or get a cummins if it will handle more power. I can add the bigger sticks and turbo to my truck and still be pretty reliable I think, but that will only get me low 12s maybe high 11s in the 1/4. I want low 11s. something that I also like about the cummins is that there is alot more aftermarket available for them so I thought that it might be easier to get a cummins into the low 11s reliably. It is also easier to work on Please let me know what is needed to get into low 11s and what the engine will handle. Thanks.
