my cousin bought a motor out of a truck with 30k miles on it to replace his blown up cr5.9. He had just bought a new set of injectors for the motor before it blew. So he has an extra set. I was gonna use the set of stockers to send off to a company to get reworked so I didn't have to pull mine and let my truck sit for a while. Before I send them out I wanted to test them to make sure everything is ok.

Well I just got a call saying all injectors are no good. I'm thinking he sent in the 30,000 mile injectors instead of the ones fron the blowb motor as the cores on accident.


So I owe the place who tested em $350. Should I leave em there or are they worth more than that to someone?

Dont hold me to this but if you can prove that they have less 100k on them then cummins should warranty them.

these arnt the ones out of the 30k motor. They ended up being the ones out of a 100k+ blown engine

looks like you just got 6 new paper weights. Might want to get the diesel off them first.

it will cost you at least 100 bucks an injector to be rebuilt on top of the price for the moded tips. ill take them off your hands for the 350 you spent to have them tested, i could use the parts

I have only seen maybe 3 or 4 injectors out of 7 thousand that were not repairable.
