How much better is the MP-8 over the EZ when stacked with the TST?

With your turbo...I would guess that the "new" twins flash would be the ticket since the slighley softer fueling on the bottom would go nicely with a "medium" sized single. I needed all I could get to spin mine...

Take a look at my sig. I'm going to do away with the EZ in this stack and I'm considering the MP8. What I think I'm hearing is that the TST version of the MP8 would spool my twins up quicker and I should plug the MP8 into the MAP 1st,... right? Have you experienced the bursting (poping) that some of us have talked about on the TST with this stack?? To make the TST twins/MP8 stack work right do you need the modded CP3? Tks.

The MP-8 with the stack tune plugged into your map first will low end boost fool quite a bit and help get the TST fueling sooner as well. This will spool a big single or twins much much quicker. The only popping or bursting I have experienced is the hp level/settings when the rail runs dry. A modded CP3 (or a set of Don M's sticks will up that point) the only way to keep fuel in the rail. I can make almost 600 hp with stock sticks/CP3 with the just the right settings. Gypsyman makes 640hp with a stock CP3 and a set of Don M's sticks. You don't need a modded CP3 to get to that point...just everything else has to be right. So to answer, you will reap the benifits of the MP8 without a modded CP3.
Mikey B,
The MP-8 is a boost fooling fuel pressure box. The regular program is 100 hp or so...and the "stack" program is maybe 1/2 of that...or a little less by itself. But it really shines when stacked with a duration/timing box.

It is not as high as you think...but it is still a little high for my personal tastes. I have run one for 25k on a 4.5 with no problems around 70-80% daily. I have never run above 70% on the normal program in a stack and it was less power than 50-60%. I run the stack program on 100%...it does not have any rail pressure issues.

Anyone know the power ratings per each setting? How about install time? I'm looking to get some kind of power enhancer in the near future, but don't know where to start.

There are no "settings". It is a volume **** of sorts...0-100 hp...depends on where you have the dial set. That is for the regular program. probably no more than 50 on the stack program.

As with any pressure box, it's best to coat the connectors with some dielectric grease. I used Permatex. It has solved some strange issues I've had with more than one pressure box, and even while running stock. It seems I did not have a good connection between the rail sensor and the plug, resulting in surging and erratic performance. A little grease, and the problem cleared right up.
