I have almost 20 hooks on my 3600 12CB clutch this year. Probably 15-20 boosted 3rd gear launches (5 spd.). It definately depends on how you drive the truck when you talk about how much the clutch will take. I've slipped mine to around 60 ft. on one track and it felt a little soft for about a day, but never gave out. Don't know what kind of power you're making, but really, I'm not sure what I'm making either. I know power is only one equation in pulling, but I placed 15 at the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza in my class out of roughly 80-90 trucks. With three hooks that weekend and a few 3rd gear launches on the street playing it did great. Just my .02

Like Haloman says: Intentional slippage under power will kill the clutch in short order.
There is no clutch in the world that will take slipping for extended periods.

Any time you push the go pedal and the clutch pedal in gear you are slipping your clutch intentionally.

I dont see why this concept is so hard for people to understand...

Picture angle grinder on a piece of steel....

When people sled pull most understand that coming off the line slipping will eventually lead to a rebuild but its a necessary evil.
We usually get 25 hooks or more out of a DD clutch before it needs a rebuild.
