How much abuse can a DD southbend really take?

Well im the happy owner of a new 3600 DD southbend. I've been babying my truck around for about 4 months now with the stocker just barely holdin on. anyway its my first aftermarket clutch so i don't know what to expect but im sure its gonna be worlds better than what i had.

Im not doubting the quality of southbend at all but i was just curious as to how much sh*t i could put it throught before it started to hurt the clutch.

How much sled pulling will the 3600 handle. and what about 4x4 boosted launches?

Just looking to kinda see what i could expect from it i guess?

thanks in advance for any opinions or input

it'll take more than your g56 tranny can hold.

You'll probably tear up your driveline before that clutch will give out.

as long as you only let the wheels spin 1 time over and then let er rip instead of riding it. Have pulled mine 6-7 times and it looks perfectly new after a year even though my first guy installed the shifter forks upside down which finally led to sucking down my clutch pedal at high rpm's and has recently been fixed.

Well the 1st one was a solid hub and due to the wrong installation the pedal was rediculous but I thought it was the nature of the clutch so I went with it. Little jerky on the street and it is a 12cb. While I was in the tranny I went ahead and installed the new 12cb sprung hub. UNBELIEVABLE difference. Much quieter and shifts smoother. To me it feels like a yota peddle now but to you it will be a slight increase. I love the sprung hub and wont go back. The only reason I like the solid is there is no spring to break.

I killed a 3850 dd Feramic button(Fb) With 4 hooks, Tons of boosted launches. Do not over slip it And you will be fine for pullin But you can burn weld or glaze any clutch.

How did i kill it so fast?..... Smarty #9..... one boosted launch.

What sort of intentional slipping though? you have to slip the clutch every time you take off.
