I'm not at 600 hp, but I rebuilt mine-with advice from a very good trans builder- and it now has 120,000 miles on it. Shifts like the first day!!
If you guys are rebuilding the trans very often, and not just a dedicated sled puller or racer, the trans is being built right.
I hope mine makes it to 300,000. Then with just one more rebuild, It will out last me!!!

I did a TC/VB when mine was new, the stock clutches didn't last 30,000miles w/ 500hp or so. I now have a full built Suncoast and still wonder how long it will last, 20000 miles so far. I wonder how some of you 800+hp guys use autos at all.

I had my tranny rebuilt with Goerend goodies at 70,000. The clutches looked brand new when we pulled them out. We reused them and now I have 100,000 with excellent results. I don't have 600 horses though

Maybe 10% of the miles.

Mine looked good at 46k miles when my tranny was rebuilt at Goerends. I spend 80% of my miles with the cruise set at 65-75 though, so generally I am not that hard on the tranny. I'm also not towing much anymore. Just a few thousand miles a year.

About 25k miles on the last rebuild but that was about 7k at 75psi plus of boost, All with Smarty....Towing up to 38k combined....with Smarty 4.4...for some of it....My tranny hates me....The direct and 2nd clutches were shot the others were ok...At 500hp with torque management in place I think 60k miles would be doable. In the future with much less power and towing lighter...I bought an 18speed 435 Cat Int'l for those duties...It should last a long time. KS
