How to get rid of P 0299 code??

so I had a serious issue with the LOW BOOST P 0299 code on a trip that thankfully lasted only 3 hours since the code cleared itself. What do I do to make sure this will never happen again? Anything wrong with my EDGE box?

If you add an EZ, it won't through that code. You need something that tells the computer that you are running more boost than you are. The big tires cause it sometimes. They add more lag and the boost isn't where it should be.

Cheapest solution is a quad boost fooler for around $75.

The boost fooler will help with an Overboost code but not for a Low boost code. Believe me, I know if you have read my recents posts......
Viking, does this happen while driving or upon startup?

I guess I should have read what he was asking more carefully now I fell like an idiot. Have you checked for any boost leaks.

You can clear the code with the Attitude. As for preventing it from coming back, do you have gauges to compare the boost to what is being reported by the Attitude? Maybe your MAP sensor is going south on you or the connection is dirty or loose.

I wish we had that feature but it's only available for the 06 and up using the Attitude and the OBDII port on the newer CAN BUS trucks.

MAP sensor is what your Juice plugged into by the rail on the driver's side of the engine behind the air horn.

Sounds like a boost leak by how you describe the sound and that would also explain the low boost code. Check the intercooler boots/ends. I think in 05 they were using plastic ends on the intercooler. Not sure maybe someone else will speak up.
