How does Superchip or Smarty do it...
Tried to find out how a dealer could do it since mine does not know...but figured I might try another route.
Superchip and others say you can change the tire size with their uploader for the 2006 trucks...anyone know how they do it. If they broke the code on how to manipulate the data....maybe it is a matter of the place to change it manually being moved and hidden under a multitude of menus...instead of in the ABS like for 05 models.
Next call will be to superchip or smarty but cant see them telling me since it would make it more likely I bought their loader or a Smarty to make the calibration changes myself.
Just hunting for info.......

Your dealer is probably dense.
It's in the factory documentation how to set it. It's under "pinion factor" under ABS in the OBD, as far as I know.
This is not some black art!

no actually....the 06 is not under pinion factor ABS where it was for the 2005 and earlier models....I was looking over his shoulder.

This is why i specifically said i needed to know for a 2006..... so far nobody on this site or the TDR site has been able to answer the question...nor can I verify that anyone has had it changed to their actual tire size manually by entering revolutions per mile.
One guy got his "close" by using a 275x50x20 which came out almost the same as his tires as it is a 33 inch but it was not exact. What I saw on the display is it lists specific tire makes and sizes....largest it had was 285x70x17. There also is absolutely NO Std sizes only metric sizes...so cant even select a 33x11.50x17 if you wanted.
So to be clear...I am only interested in how the Smarty and Superchip does it for 2006 model years. Thanks.
