how does my build sound?
Im thinking about accumulating these parts over the next year and im looking to build my truck to be reliable and powerful. i do not tow, just looking for a powerful streetable truck and a good daily driver. this is what im thinking of getting:
-mp8
-raptor 150 fuel pump
-add an inline 2 micron filter before the cp3
-boost guage (60psi)
-fuel pressure guage
-EGT guage
-arson III kit for my cp3
-Flux-2 injectors
-torque converter (still researching)
-valve body (still researching)
think i might keep the smarty jr. not sure if i will need the upgrade to a smarty senior.
what do you guys think?

would the flux 2's be overkill for the stock turbo? maybe flux 1 would be more suited. was kinda hoping for bigger sticks. would it be possible to just upgrade my stock turbo to use a different compressor wheel for better boost?

I'd stick with F1.8s if you want to retain the stock HE351 - they'll help keep good fuel economy and enable you to hold on to the S-JR to meet your HP goal.

Too big of sticks for a stock turbo. You will see a better gain upgrading the turbo first, then sticks if you need them. The tranny is a must, and don't skimp on it, VB, Flexplate, TC, Billet input shaft, upgraded anchor, and billet servo. For reliablity and a rail pressure gauge go with a Quad II, it has a RP sensor, and load it with the pressure only stack tune. The MP-8 is too easy to up the pressure too much in my opinion for a daily driver. What I have actually tows extremely well and I don't have sticks, yet.

well i dont tow at all, so I guess this will be my determining factor for which TC i will get. ive heard good things about goerend TC's. im really just wanting to build a fast street truck. I thought about trading my truck in for a srt10, but realized i love my 4x4 and the mileage i get with bigger 33' wheels.
Im not totally against getting an upgraded turbo but I really didnt think it was necessary for my HP goals. I think flux 1 injectors would be plenty seeing as i wont have to do the arson III kit in order to feed them.
also what are flux 1.8? Ive never seen them for sale. only flux 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 injectors. no in betweens.

ill check it out. maybe my google skills are lacking. do you guys think i would be safe with just a TC and VB with the mentioned mods, or is a more drastic transmission upgrade needed?

IMO if you are wanting to do extensive mods like you listed, I would sell the JR and get the SR. At that note I would also ditch the MP-8 option for the time being. The SR will support all you are planning to put to it. Daily driving pressure isn't the best, especially with an 04.5-07 truck. So its use could potentially be limited, if you decide to use it alot it can have a toll on your injectors, even upgraded ones.
You can always add pressure down the line, but also with a stock turbo you can potentially be getting toasty and the additional pressure can help or hurt.
