How do I prepare for twins?

Besides a saving fund for a tranny what do I need for a set of daily driver twins? I'm thinking a set up using my stock turbo would suit me fine but I need to know what else is needed to get the most out of it. I've got a Powermax CR49, the exhaust is on the way. Other than that I'm stock as far as fuel and air go.

well for twins you'll need more fuel first and formost and head studs because they build their boost fast and that is bad for HG (might be wrong there but it still cant be good on them)

also you say stock but what about the QUAD and the TST

I listed the TST in my question and the Commander is gauges only. Sorry for the confusion.

Is there a less expensive alternative to say a FASS system? I know if I'm going for twins expense shouldn't be an issue but it would be nice if there were something cheaper.

you can get a glacier fuel system that is cheaper than the fass with filters. I run it with no issues. I will pm you a link to their site. the fass is ungodly loud or it was on my truck. you will need a fuel system with a tst. if you plan to run it on high levels you better get dual pumps also. ive got a stage 2 cp3 and its not happy when the tst is on

Got your PM. Thanks. Yeah, my bros. fass is crazy loud. Will I need something like dual cp3's to run just towing twins?

No. I think that a set of small injectors may be a good idea but I would be willin to bet that a smarty and ?? stack would spool a set of towin twins. If you need more CP3 a modded one should be fine for towin twins.

Yeah, my bro has the Smarty stacked with the TST and it spools II's Silver Bullet pretty good. Gets hot fast too though.

On a set up using the stock turbo do I need to worry about the fact that the stocker has a boost limit before it comes apart?

I think the tst brings the heat on because I run the same setup just with an aurora 5k and my truck gets warm also. not until overdrive but it still gets hot on lower settings. the tst would probably do really good with twin turbos. they have a twins flash that you can get done. I had it on my 05 it seemed to fuel a little more. the R49 remote has it built in I guess, mine is the R37. im thinking of getting the real twins flash for mine if they have one out

Yeah, the R49 has got the Economy, Standard, Early Twins, and Late Twins programs on it. The Early Twins (03 Twins) fuels at like 15 psi I think so it will smoke like crazy if you want it to. It's a fun program to play with but gets hot too fast to stay in it for too long. I would definately recommend the flash though.
