how to advance 48re ttva
gents, maybe im the retard but ive been looking for how to adavance the ttva one tooth on my 48re. I know where it is and how to get it off and I thing I can figure out how to get the cover off. my question is which way is clockwise? depending on where I read some people say "looking at it upside down" others say "remove the cover carefully then advance clockwise" to make sure I do this right I plan on removing the tvva, removing the cover, then looking at right side up (meaning as it sits when installed, as if you were looking down at it through the floor board of the truck) then advancing one tooth. any help would be appreciated!

While im probably not the best guy to answer your question, my understanding is that it basicly changes the relationship between the engines rpm and tranny line pressure. Meaning the the computer sees a different gas pedal position than what your accually imputing, allowing for higher line pressure when shifting and slightly different shift points. Guys am i right?

Well..... i cant say how well it worked becuase a buddy talked me into trying a BD shift enhanser first. It works fairly well. Shift pionts are a bit higher and it gets going a bit faster. Shifts seem to be more firm as well tho thats not why i got it. I may still try the ttva trick. But before i do i call my tranny guy and see if my expecftations are unrealistic without a new vb. I will post again later this week when i know more.
