Hot juice vs quad race box

How does these two boxes compare? Which would you rather have? I know the juice is 180 horse and the quad is 130-140 but what about the torque? How do they each make their power? When does the power "come on" in the hot juice? Does the hot juice smoke? How does the fuel milage compare with these two. Sorry if I am repeating a privious thread but I cant get enough info on the hot juice. Thanks for any info.

I have had both, currently have the HOT Juice/Attitude and an EZ stacked.

The standard Juice/Attitude or HOT Juice/Attitude at 100hp setting is about the same as the Quad Race 100hp settings. They both provide consistent adjustable power. I had no problems with the Quad Race box at all. I personally think the Edge may have been a little more responsive at low end, but close to the same mid to upper rpm ranges. They Quad Race will create higher boost and a little more heat than the Juice at that level.

The Quad 130hp setting and the HOT Juice 180hp setting are two very different program maps. The Quad Race on high setting is a combo of fuel pressure and duration. The HOT Juice on 180hp is all timing and duration.

The Quad Race on 130hp setting is about all the stock LP and Turbo combination can support effectively. The HOT Juice/Attitude on the 180hp setting really needs additional mods to be useable(FASS, pressure box stack, air, exhaust, turbo, etc).

My 04.5 600 with the HOT Juice/Attitude smokes a lot now with all the mods. Sometimes it is close to 12v level. I have to baby it in traffic to not irritate the wrong drivers.

As far as mileage goes I can't really help. I never test the boxes for improved mpg, only improved performance. Both on lower settings with conservative driving seems to provide a little better mpg, but I never stay in that mode for a full tank to tell exactly how much.

Why are you running autometer gages with the attitude moniter?
Are you running a stock TC?
Would the hot juice be better in my truck with the fass and could I run the 180 setting without fass?
Thanks for the info

Look at my sig it shows all of the mods, TC/Trans completely upgraded for racing. I have the full set of gauges so I can switch boxes or downloaders and still have all guages available. The Attitude pyro is a normal pyro and works same as external gauges, the other Attitude monitoring is reading the ECM values and the boost is not accurate above about 30psi in my case. Looks like they read the value after the ECM has been fooled about boost level.

You can run the 180hp setting without mods, but in my case it pulled the stock LP to 0 pretty quick. You just will not get the full power available without additional mods.

I've had both also

Most of the above info is correct, however at least on the 03-04 i've had different experiences.

First of all, the quad race box primarily makes its power by pressure and timing, with only a tiny amount of duration. The juice makes its power by duration and timing, with a tad of pressure thrown in on the 03-04.

Maybe the 03-04 hot juice is more powerful with the additional pressure, but on similarly rated levels, they arent even close. The '60 hp' setting on the hot juice is as powerful or more than the quad race on 100hp. More power of course makes more heat, and requires more upgrades.

I don't really consider these two boxes to be comparable. The quad box, even though it's called 'race', it's really for mostly stock trucks. People with twins ive spoken with notice the quad box just doesnt fuel enough.

Basically the hot juice is something to grow into, the quad box is best for trucks with milder mods.

fwiw, the quad box sucks down the fuel pressure waaay faster than the juice.

Wap, I would just leave it alone, the quad box is a great one. I would only upgrade if you plan on going with a lot more power via bigger/more turbos and other supplementary upgrades..
