I have a pretty good idea of what it takes make alot of power out of these motors but can i see some quick approximate numbers of how much dollors gets you how much horse to make certain 1/4 mile time.

About 14k. There are people that run this with less money, but I think that I do it very reliably, and with a better smarty tune, I could probably be in the 12.3x's...

 

Ive spent 9K and am around a 12.50 with current set-up and make 585+hp...I bargin shopped for parts and did alot of work myself though. Add another 3-4K for labor to mine if a shop did it....so around 12-13K for mid 12's.

14 seconds would make me very happy. I think what cincy has going is an affordable set up. I would rather go no muffler and a smarty and trans mods. I guess at some point you are going to run into fuel issues so an upgrade may be in order. I would have to remover alot of those heavy tools in my tool box to get her movin.

 

My 05 dually auto ran 15.0 consistently with just a SP Diesel Box and MBRP dual exhaust. Nothing else.

 

I read your sig. May I ask? What is a tailgater switch?

 

My guess would be one of those smoke switches I have read about. Maybe a 007 type oil slick button but that seems dangerous.
