If you did not know already...hood stacks are not street legal..the stack must exit behind the cab.
but for offroad/competition only it's fine.
sorry I dont know anything about the plumbing. maybe just a 90*elbow???

yes i know its not legal. RYFRAT: thats what im talking about!! My friend just put a hood stack on his pulling truck and it is soo awesome. Heres what i am thinking right now...get a second gen. ex. manifold to move the turbo furthur forward to make room to plumb the pipe. then make a new intake system to work w/ the new set up and find a black hood in the classifieds to do this to..white truck, black grill, black hood + hood stack

I've also seen the third gen manifold flipped to move the turbo forward but then the turbo contacts the hood.

I have pics of a hood stack on a 3rd gen with plumbing, however it's not a street truck so it wouldn't even be close. Unless you want to do some cutting.

the turbo should not hit...that's the same as what people do for twin turbos....but they use a 2nd gen manifold or aftermarket....

53 ******. the sec. gen manifold is a little bit different, not only is the turbo in a different location on the header but the angle of the ex. flange on the header is different. It wont put the turbo up as high as it will on a 3rd gen manifold flipped upside down.

Bluechrome, doing that will not interfere with the cowl?

I know the 2nd gen is different..that's the whole reason to use the second gen manifold.......you can buy second gen manifolds for like $25 bucks.
sounds like you know how to do it already you just need to try it now.....
their are two 2nd gen manifolds in the 2ndgen dtr classifieds

It does not inner fere with any thing, In fact a friend of mine put one on his mega and put a polished 66-16 on top of a ats 3-piece with a hx-40 downpipe. It looks awesome/different and everything was easy as pie to install
