In the Hood

How much for a SRT-10 hood with working hood scoops? Or something close to that designe. I assume the ducting under the hood goes to were the stock CTD air box is, so it will go were the Quad Intake is. Get a little more, cooler air to the engine.

When I was looking for a functional hood they didn't make a SRT hood that was functional for the Cummins, they may now, but I went with the Twin Scoop Keystone Good Hood. This is a functional hood for the Cummins.

That front bumper is.........ahhh different......

I was watching a truck speed show on the weekend and they showed the SRT 10 Ram. The hood had a retractable hood scoop on it.

SRT-10 Hoods can be found fairly easily on E-bay for ~$700 w/o paint or shipping. I asked the Dodge dealer and it was about $750.

Thumbs down

The SRT-10 hood has the scoop, but it is not ducted to anything, for looks only. Mopar does make a kit to attach some plastic duct work to the underside of the hood right behind the scoop. It then runs over to were our second battery is, but in the SRT10 it's empty there. The remainder of the "kit" is a re-located open element air filter in a shrouded open top air-box to meet up with the scoop duct work. Looks like it WOULD work but some recent testing shows otherwise. No "ram air effect"

I think if I remember right Relexxion that I ordered mine from (through Stylin Concepts) had a cowl induction kit for an extra $100 bucks that was functional. They also have 2 styles I think with a front entry. Give it a shot, its all about your preference here. If cold air is what your after I think the Scotty Systems drag air from outside. Just a thought.

It does look like armour doesen't it. What other hood scoop alternatives are there? Like I said something that looks like an SRT-10 hood would be great, but it has to be a working model. I have seen a 3500 cummins with one, I don't know if it worked, but I know their out there.
