Thank you for the compliments.

For the record, it was C Schomer that inspired me to make my own so, I guess I'm just paying the inspiration forward!

You could use a U or J bend if you were willing cut it in the middle and remove a section - you need something that ends up with a little less than 180* to meet the intercooler tube on the right angle and to rotate the bend that meets tube. Two 90* bends or one 180* would probably be the same amount of work to fab - your choice.

I would assume they would work nearly as well as some of the aftermarket horns. The one that Crag made looks very similar to the GDP horns.

Keep in mind that if your GDP 2mic filter is mounted on the stock horn you'll need to add those studs/mounts to the new horn.

Sounds like a great idea. By using a U it will also allow you to cut whatever angle it calls for on the piece you will be re-welding together. So that the tip of the horn is in the best location to meet up with the inner cooler tube.

I'm sure that tube is a nice laminar flowing piece and flows quite well.................but it sure does look goofy!

I agree.

Looks like you could just make the flanged side shorter and trim a little off the IC tube side so it didn't stick up so high?

I wonder what kind of gain there would be from running a 2nd gen intake?

They flow better than the common rails, but the approach angle of the inlet is too different to use with the stock CAC boot/piping.
