hole size in boost bolt

Put my guages in the other day, did not come with a boost bolt. Made my own at work without much problem. Found a metric bolt same size as one I took out of manifold, drilled a 1/8 hole through center of it. Then welded same size/thread pitch nut onto the head of the bolt and cleaned it all up with a grinder. Next took a swagelock compression fitting and threaded it into the nut and put it all into the truck and hooked up the plastic tube. The guage works, but I'm wondering if the hole in the bolt is supposed to be a certain size. Thanks.

Should be fine, if the hole was really small the gauge would justy be slow to react to boost.

yeah, I got thinking about it after and the tube is only 1/8, same as the hole in bolt.
