I really enjoy watching these threads and see people with half the horsepower that the "big guys " make calls on what makes horsepower and whats fast down the track. The tst is hands down the horsepower maker,no other box offers the tunability that it has.As far as the fastest down the track, your right I have not posted a big number.I went for the big power without thinking about getting it to the ground.Have you ever ran a 1000hp truck at the track. Its carnage on the driveline like you could never imagine. So now I think its fixed and will have some 1/4 mile times very soon.

Good post R.C.!
I completely agree with what you and DTR Member "abc4yew" have said about the TST Boxes! FWIW, one of our own members here (dperf) made 787
H.P. running the new TST and while that is a ways from yourself and a few others with the CR Trucks it does not dismiss the fact that the TST Box is still a great choice for these CR trucks! They also "stack" extremely well with the Smarty Programmers!
You will not find two better people to deal with in the diesel performance industry than Mark and Gina Chapple @ TST Products.

Correct...I dynoed Smarty on #9, EZ on #2 and a Silverbullet and barley made it into the 400's 418hp to be correct and 385hp w/o pressure.
My truck pulles hard and is plenty fast on the freeway since I cant accelerate quickly since I have a slow six speed. Best run at the track was 14.7 @ 98mph with stock rubber. 1/8 mile took forever but from 1/8-1/4 it flew.
420hp is fine for a 03-04 especially with a manual. Now if I had an auto and likes to go fast I would definetly of gotten a 04.5+ I bought a 6 speed to keep me out of trouble and keep me on the slow side of things vs spending $6K on a billet auto.

well im partial to tst. I do live in Indiana but mark has been pretty good to me lately when I called in to ask questions he was real cool about it. they have never pressured me to buy their box. I always buy them used not new. I do think they are on the pricey side but they are pretty aggressive for a common rail

I agree. I won't get new electronics like that. I'm not that desperate. I'll wait for something to pop up in the classifieds or e-bay.
I do like the TST's adjustability. Although I hardly ever turn it on as I driver very conservative most of the time I still enjoy pushing a button a few times and hauling **** .....

I went to a Mustang dyno day several yrs ago and auto trucks had good numbers but manual trucks were very obviously low - low egt and boost during the run. I went back another day and tried different programs and my #s came way up. I did constant speed runs and the egt and boost came up where it should be. I don't care about dyno #s anymore, after seeing how erroneous they can be. Craig
