High temp coatings?

Well I am about a week behind on getting my twins installed, and I was doin some reading and I was thinking that since I have not yet bolted on the manifold or turbos yet I could wait a little longer and get them coated, along with the downpipe and maybe the hot pipe between the 2 turbos.

My question is, do you guys think it is worth it? Or is there any performance to be gained?

And secondly is there a place anywhere close to or south of Atlanta that any of you could recomend?

I may not bother as I have been itching to get these twins on, but I have already waited this long, if the coating is worth it I may put off the install and go ahead and get it done now, rather than have to take everything off and to it later.

TIA

We use ceramic coating alot on gas engine headers. Helps keep under hood temps down and improves exhaust scavenging.

Neither of those things are applicable to your diesel. It would strictly be for show. Cast exhaust manifolds are not made to look pretty, only functional. Save the bucks and use it where it will make a difference.

We ceramic coat everything on the hot side of the engine, inside & out where applicable - besides reducing underhood temperature (and delaying engine heat-soak), it reduces spool-up time while maximizing drive HP to the turbine... great for twins as well, to get more drive energy to the primary turbine.

Just make sure it's the high-temp (2200*F) stuff; the silver ceramic is only good to ~1250*F. Also, use a shop that's done it successfully... don't want to have flakes impacting the fins!

The pricing is reasonable considering the power & driveability gains realized.
