High performance trans time. ATS or Suncoast?

I just put 35" tires on my dually and also run a smarty on lvl 7 with an airdog stg 2 lp. I have had no issues with my transmission at all but i want to get a new competition transmission when I get my upgrades done to the engine such as bigger cp3, twins, injectors, all that jazz. I have heard great things about both of the transmission companies ATS and Suncoast but I was wondering if anyone has one and likes it or what do they think? From what i can tell the competition suncoast with tq converter is $5300 with core charge and an ATS is around $7400 and I'm not sure if this is with the core charge. Any advice?

My Goerend is on order.

I think the big guys all do a great job, so I narrowed it down to location. I think you should have a local approved installer put the trans in and set it up so there's no question everything is right.

I didn't want to buy a $6500 trans and then have it fail in 6 months only to have the builder say the cooler wasn't flushed properly so there is no warranty... Or a line was kinked, or the wrong fluid was used, or a wire was pinched.... You know what I mean?

Goerend is the only way to go for a tranny.

Goerend is located in Iowa, about 200 miles from me. I ordered my trans and it is being built now. My install date is Dec. 5th. I will drive down and drop my truck off and they will take the original trans out and install the new one, then test it and set it up so all is good.

My cost is still in limbo.... I have to decide if I want the BD shift enhancer that is recommended which will add another $300. So far I am at $6,500 installed.

If I wasn't building it myself, I'd get a Goerend.

Wow. That's cheap!

Is it too cheap? Can they give you a great trans for that or are they blowing smoke?
