With the beta 4.4 and version 309 my EGTs have been around 1100-1200 degrees (with a boost elbow). But even knowing that I would still have a pyrometer.

Be on the safe side, get gauges and know for sure. You'll sleep better at night.

I put on the grid heater delete block and the water injection and probed stock intake horn on over the weekend and the truck really whistles high pitched now and boost dropped 3psi as measured in the intake horn. Smarty 4.4 has never smoked much with me and now I can only get a tiny puff on a very slow start up....The ported ATS 2 piece is going on next with the super B. EGT's have gotten up there towing the 48foot trailer with the F250 and gear in the back, 17.k through the hills. Water injection will cure this ... and add about 100hp as I won't have to back off. I think it must be my Flux 1.5's that are keeping me from smoking at all.....it isn't the high performance stock turbo that is for sure. . I was going to the track tonight to get some numbers but it is rained out today....next week. ks

beta 4.4 is boost fooling but boost limiting(until i stack with it, then up to 50 she goes )
i would NOT run any performance module or programmer without gauges gregg. at the minimum a pyro.

Bob,
Has Marco looked into a fix/help for the tranny shifting issues? I was hoping to see an improvement with the Beta release. I’m sure you are aware of the tranny shifting issues that have been discussed around here.
Thanks Bob and Marco

Im sure its probably been posted on here but the beta 4.4 is a moderate tq mngmt isnt it?
It just feels like it to me but i have been runnung the wild thing on sw9 with the mp8 100% on the truck for about 4 or 5 months now and the top end on the smarty does feel better but I lost the itchy pedal feel I had gotten used to.

i have noticed that also. but it makes up for it on the top end. im pretty sure that when all said and done there will be a wild tq managment with the beta software. actually i believe its the beta 4.3. i could be wrong though.

I switched back to version 310 level 5 today as a comparison. I noticed with the 4.4 some mild surging at highway speeds. Very similar to what I experienced with the EZ, but not with the released versions of the SMARTY.
Plus my wife does not like having her necked snapped between shifts, so I'll see if she notices the difference with the mild torque management.

I've been rained out at the track 3 weeks in a row. I've towed up to 25k with the Beta 4.4 and temps are high but manageable. I'm welding up a 20gallon water tank for my bed...making it out of a still the cops seized and my nephew scrapped. Then EGT's will be very manageable. ks

switched yesterday back to 4.3 from 4.4, i think its more fun to drive, now i jusy need marco to make version 4.5 for me.... ie: same as 4.3, but extend that fuel map past 35psi...
i make 50+ on 4.4 but cant get 4.3 over 35psi with out duming some meth on it...
oh and marko, while your at it ... i know theres alot of people still wanting 4k+ rpm... thanks in advance.
