Help Water In Air Box

I keep on getting water in my air box causeing my truck todo die. It seem's like the front tire kicks it up or something. THe water is just in mud holes no deeper then half way up my tire. Any idea's? I doubt a aftermarket system would be any better, but worse.

first off I am assuming you have a stock air intake systems......

if so, they it shouldnt be getting water in the box if your just going through small puddles, etc. I can see getting some in it if you have been driving through flood waters or something like that. are you sure that you have the top fastened correctly? have you modded the stock box at all?

Water is coming thro the intake via the fenderwall or where ever. Stock air box, had a Airaid filter in and wrecked with mud and dirt and now a stock filter and did the same thing. I can look where the air comes in via the fender and its all muddy water in there to.

your sig isnt filled in, so i'll go with my experience from a guess. on my 04.5 the plastic horn that goes through the fender just pops into the airbox. is that still solidly connected?

Found some water in the bottom of my stock box too when I went to install the AFE. Not sure how it got there, but the worst I did was drive on some snow covered roads.
