help with silver 66

Quick question. I have a friend with a 3rd gen runnin a II silver 66 and he is having issues with egt. His wastegate is dumping at 41 psi. What can we crank it to to still stay in the turbo's efficientcy range. He has the same elbow with the screw in it as mine to adjust boost. He has a high output cp3 from II, injectors, head studs, ported head, the fancy aluminum intake on the side of the head a boat load of NOS, new intercooler, ats exhaust manifold. bottom line about everything money could buy but we are having issues getting it to run right and the company that sold him all this stuff has given up helping anymore.

what is his boost pressures with the nos? Is he running a drive pressure gauge? I think a drive pressure gauge will tell you when the turbo gets out of its range when you go adjusting the wastegate. on my silverbullet I can hit 52 psi with no programmers on the truck and I am at 48 psi of drive pressure. for a little more on the story he has 90 horse injectors, PPE hot downloader with a really small predator box under the hood. the predator might be for rail pressure. I have a 2ng gen so ths is new to me but i am sure you guys know. His best run with all 4 spinin for 20 feet was 13.5 at 108 mph. and a crazy slow 2.9 60 foot. I am trying to convince him to check for boost leaks and get a rail pressure sensor so we can trouble shoot. Without the nitrous he ran a 101 mph. I am thinkin there is iether a boost leak or there is not near the fuel it is suposed to have. Fuel pressure from the fass is good also.

You should be able to get that into the mid 50's (53-55psi) with no issues.

Thanks i will let him know. I think we will crank in the set screw on the boost elbow bit by bit and see if we can get it up there.
