i have found a few exhaust parts and now need some help putting then together in the right order. here is what i have. 4"elbow, 4" downpipe, megacab resonater, flo pro muffler, stock tail pipe with 5"tip. ill need about 6' of 4" pipe fill in what i dont have.

where to mount the resonator? a foot after the down pipe like a cat or back by the muff (in front or behind?)?

anyone ever turned a muffler around backwards? im planning on running a striaght pipe and cut it so i can clamp the muffler in if i need to go on a long trip. so i think ill try it both way to see how it sounds.

i want the straight pipe sound but trying to stay away from the drone if possible. thanks for any advice

 

You probably wont need both. The flow-pro should cut the drone down. With the resonator and the muffler its probably going to be pretty quite. Going from totally straight piped to just the straight thru 4" summit muffler on my truck made a big difference for a pretty small muffler!!!

i was wondering where you got the stock tail pipe from and how much you paid for it

 

I use the turbo back 4" with stainless, straight through glass pack muffler from Banks. Lovely sound, very slight drone. Best of both worlds.
