HELP me make a choice!
I know I want BFG AT KO's. I am running 285-70-17's load range D now. They have 51,000 on them. I would like to go up a size but don't want to kill power and or mileage. How wide is my stock wheel? Why does tirerack show some BFG's as "severe snow" and some not? Can I get a 315 on this thing with 2" front spacers? The 315's are 1.8 inches taller than the 305's (which are the same height as the 285's because they are a 65 not 70.) Just help me choose please. I generally pull between 3 and 7 ton 75% of all miles driven. Check out these links:

Big tires will hurt your mileage. If you don't mind the "stock" look, I say stick with a factory size tire.
As far as BFG goes. I changed mine at 53K. They were cracking on the sidewalls a lot. I liked the look of them, and the ride was good too. If it wasn't for the cracking, I think they had 20k more miles left in them.
Good luck.
