We got 13.7 at 1/4mile best time, with smarty(revo/TNT SW#9) 66/14 turbo, F2 sticks, banks intercooler, coolingmist stage II, FASS 150 and 4 inch exhaust with a full billet goerend tranny, i think it should do better then that, would a aftermarket cp3 give more power? and how about upgrading to the stocker/S400 twins?
Cause 13.7 doesnt seem very fast to me with all that stuff on..

I would say something isn't right. It should be in the 12's with that combo.

Do you have a rail pressure gauge? If so, how is the RP going down the track? The only thing I can thing of that it would be is a lack of RP from the CP3 not keeping up.

Yeah, I'm still on the stocker. Mine seems to be somewhat of a freak of nature though.

How much boost were you launching with and what were your 60' times on that 13.7 run?

I see, your doing pretty good on your stocker, launch is at 25psi of boost, and 60ft. times i dont have those yet we did the run just on a street here
which cp3 would you recommend for me and for a fair price?

Like ronny said, we are looking into a CP3 now. Seems like they are hard to come by, at least in a short time. so suggestions would be nice.

we constantly get the code of high rail pressure and rail pressure sensor checksum. the diesel mechanic told me there is only 1 rail pressure code, being low, or high, the code will always say high RP.

Max boost is 39 PSI, with a blocked of wastegate.

60' foot times where a bit over 2 sec, before deleting torque management, now i got it to work, and the tq management set on 4, launches are pretty nasty. sorry havent checked 60 foot times yet, what should it be?

BTW the 24valve truck in my sig, stayed dead even with the 06 upt to 100mph, While the 06 has close to $10,000 invested, mine has only 5K... (both tranny included) oh yeah and egts on the 98 are way lower, smokes less too.

60 foot should be in the 1.8's or lower, are you locking up in 2nd? Try SW#7,less might be more with the TNT on that truck. You NEED a rail pressure gauge, what is the smarty set for rail pressure?

Locking up in 2nd, buggs the engine down too much, so that the turbo looses boost, and starts to bark. dont know why...
i tried SW:5 and it wasnt any faster, and not much slower either maybe a tenth or two.

Smarty RP:2
What should it be?

Ordered the RP/FP gauge now.

The higher RP the more power. I would have that thing on #3 or #4 for racing,#2 is not enough for aftermarket injectors.

Oh,not to sound stupid but when you adjust options on the smarty and it says "writing memory" or something like you still need to reload the truck to have the setting changed. When I was trying out the TNT at first I did not know that.

Boost sounds too low to me. And if smoke is up, more so than the 98', I'd guess that you managed to get a muffed up turbine housing with that PDR turbo. Sometimes the puck does not seal tight due to a burr that got missed in machining process. Sometimes the wastegate threaded rod is not adjusted short enough to provide enough preload to keep the wastegate tight enough to hold exhaust drive pressure.

I'd either
1. Shorten the rod if it is adjustable, or shim up the wastegate actuator head unit with some washers to provide more preload.
2. Wire the wastegate arm tight so as to mechanically limit it's ability to open.
3. Check for boost leaks, you are bound to have some with 38 psi boost.

Do you have a resistor installed on the harness that used to go to the stock turbo. You might be going into limp mode too. That 06' should kill the 98 in a race.

maybe the backpressure is pushing the w/g open. ill try waht bigblue said. we ordered twins now, so we will have to tune them instead!

ill try what Cummins 610 says. i thought it was done after it says writing memory. just im not totally sure how you mean it.

I dont have a resistor installed. just the stock electronic w/g solenoid of the stock turbo.

how much slower is the truck in limp mode? always get 3 code, once launching...

On the Smarty Revo, when it says "writing to memory" that is the memory inside the Smarty and NOT the ECM memory. Once you choose the options and it writes to memory then you still need to upload a program to the ECM for the changes to actually take place.
